Chewbacca

I finally watched the movie Step Brothers last night.

My husband is not a huge Will Ferrell fan but even he thought it was pretty darn funny.

THE best part of the whole movie is John C. Reilly wearing his Chewbacca mask (exactly like the one above).

I am still giggling just thinking about it.

I also got a kick out of the fact that he always walked around in his tighty whities (well actually they were never white--and they probably had action figures on the back too).

My 7 year old likes to walk around in his undies and honestly, if he had a Chewbacca mask, he would wear that too. God forbid that he turns into Dale in Step Brothers, a 40 year old Chewbacca mask wearing, living at home, Shark Week watching loser.

Yea..that will never happen. At least the living at home when he is 40 part. I would totally kick him out WAY before then. Let his wife deal with THAT!

Back to Winter

Last week it was spring in January here in California while most of the country was freezing.

It was a nice break but I have to say I am glad winter has returned, and with it some much needed rain.

My standard wet-weather outfit is:

We finally have the long awaited Tokidoki® rain boots by Chooka!

There are two different designs, the Discoteca and the Leopard, as well as two different boot styles, the regular rain boot and the new rain pup, to choose from. Pick your favorite or buy one of each. My understanding is these are a limited edition so get them while they are in stock.

Vampires and Warewolves...Oh My!

On one of my semi-weekly trips to Target (there is ALWAYS something to be purchased at Target!) I saw a display of the Twilight series of novels by Stephenie Meyer. They were on sale for $8 each so I thought, "What the heck" and picked up two of them.

OMG.

I am HOOKED! Or should I say bitten.

I started Twilight last Saturday and could NOT put it down. I am now 40 pages from the ending of New Moon. In fact before I had even finished Twilight I ran to Target to buy the other two books I hadn't purchased before).

Okay, I know that these books are supposed to be Young Adult but they are SO GOOD!

I had never heard of these until the Twilight movie was released last year (on DVD March 21st and they are already making the next movie, New Moon!) but now I am a huge fan. Thankfully I still have two more books to go before I am dying (ha ha) for more.

What is is about vampires anyway? I used to love Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the TV show) and the fact that Buffy was in love with Angel, the vampire with a soul.

I think I might have to go see the movie this weekend if I can still find it in a theatre. I just watched a trailer on the Twilight the movie link above and it looks like it will be as good as the movie.

Hopefully no one will notice a 40 year old woman watching this movie by herself sans teenage girls in tow.

Ya think??
